Amazon Best Sellers change fast. Every week, Amazon publishes a live, constantly-updating Best Sellers list for every category, including Home Storage & Organization. This installment covers what was ranking during the week of September 21, 2026. We are checking whether the top sellers are actually your best deal, or whether the same (or equivalent) item is cheaper somewhere else.
A note on how this list works: Amazon’s rankings change constantly, and pricing is also live, sometimes within the same week. Everything below reflects what was ranking and what we found as of this week, click through before you buy to confirm current pricing.

- Amazon price (confirmed): $9.99, down slightly from $9.97 when we checked this item three weeks ago, still ranked in the top 3 this week.
- Walmart price (confirmed, identical product): $19.50, listed under the same name, Kitsure Shoe Rack, 3-Tier Non-Woven Fabric Shoe Organizer, 27.5 Inches Wide, Black.
- Verdict: Amazon wins decisively. At $9.99 versus Walmart’s $19.50 for the identical listing, this is essentially the same gap we saw three weeks ago, just with the item now ranked one spot higher.
#2: Amazon Basics Slim Velvet Non-Slip Suit Clothes Hangers, 30-Pack
- Amazon price (confirmed): $16.79, down from $18.89 when we first checked this item, and still holding the number 2 spot for a third straight week.
- Walmart price (closest match we found): $25.51, listed as Slim Velvet Non-Slip Space Saving Suit Clothes Hangers for Closet Organization, Black/Silver, 30-Pack, the same near-identical naming pattern we found the first time we checked this item.
- Verdict: Amazon remains cheaper, and by a wider margin than before as its price has dropped further. We still cannot confirm this is the exact same manufacturer rather than a private-label lookalike, so treat this as a strong lead rather than a guaranteed match.
#5: Cozy Essential Vacuum Storage Bags with Hand Pump, 20 Combo
- Amazon price (confirmed): $19.98, new to our list this week, currently the number 5 best seller in the category with over 81,000 ratings.
- Walmart price (confirmed, identical product): $30.77, same brand name, same box art, and the same 20-bag combo listed under an identical title.
- Verdict: Amazon wins clearly. At nearly $11 cheaper for a confirmed identical product, this is one of the more dramatic gaps we have found in this series so far.
Open Questions
- Whether the Walmart hanger listing is truly the same manufacturer as the Amazon Basics version, or just a similarly-named private-label alternative, still unresolved after two checks.
- Shipping cost and delivery time on both sides for the vacuum storage bags, a nearly $11 gap can shrink fast if Amazon shipping is not free on this listing.
- Whether to revisit the drinkware items (Owala, Stanley) that dominate four of the top eight spots this week, possibly as a separate roundup post.
How We Check These Amazon Best Sellers
Each week we pull Amazon’s live Best Sellers list for a category relevant to renters and small-space living, note the top items and their current prices, then search for the same or closest matching product on Walmart. We label a match as identical only when the brand and model line up exactly, the way the vacuum storage bags did this week. When we can only find a similar item from a different brand, we say so, because a lookalike product is not the same guarantee of quality or fit.
